Im pretty excited. After taking almost a full year off to study 3D rendering and enhance my digital manip skills Im getting back into photography. The past year has been great, but I miss my camera.
I have 4 models (1 repeat) lined up for the next four weekends and and. . . *crosses fingers* a Greek god who is talking about doing a shoot. That would make a fifth shoot. He is a fitness trainer in one of the gyms here in town and he has a face and torso that photographers of the male form can only dream about.
In other big news, I refinanced the house and came out further ahead than I planned so I didnt waste any time in buying a new camera. I really wanted the Nikon D300, but didnt do that well on the refinance, so I settled for the D90. Im pretty pumped about it so far. Cant wait to try it out tomorrow night.
NEW ARTISTS TO DA
Came across four new artists in the past few months. Ive recommended all for DD but only one has happened (so far).
Paper2Pencil [link] has been with DA for 3 months. His drawings are so life-like you will think they are a B&W photo at first. This man is extremely talented. David and I have talked about working together on some projects and I cant wait to see the results. David is also working on a self published book. Something Id like to learn more about. Please visit his gallery and welcome him to DA!

RitaFoster [link] has been a member of DA for 1 year and I cant believe she only has 4,000+ page views. Her work is Fantastic. Ive seen a lot of great charcoal work out here but her ability to add the highlighting is exceptional. According to her journal she started serious study of the human form/musculature/anatomy about 6 months ago. Please visit her gallery and encourage her to continue!

JToastra [link] has only been on DA 1 month and is still learning his way around. I remember when I was a newbie . This is a huge place with lots of rules. Jay has experienced a few of the rules (like many of us grin). Im impressed with his work so far and very jealous of his models . *smirk* Please drop by and welcome Jay.

Torsal [link] Peter has been on DA for 8 months, many of you may have seen him last week when he received a DD Id recommended him for. Prior to that DD he only had a few thousand page views. When I saw his work it took my breath. I was very excited as he concentrates on `Parts of the male body. This is a style Ive done a lot with but Torsal is 10 times better at it. Simply said, he is a true professional with an incredible eye. So, in case you missed his DD, please stop by and visit/welcome Peter.

Well Till next time.

Glow Worms are never Glum
'cause how can you be gloomy
When the Sun shines out your bum?
Wow... thanks! When I logged on tonight I had twice as many messages as normal and was wondering where they all came from... Now I know!
