Description
Many have asked for a photo of me and I've ALWAYS.... ALWAYS... tried to graciously reply that I do NOT get in front of the lens... EVER. But that is sadly a lie... Forgive Me?
This is a photo from 20 years ago of me looking into a window frame of the wheel house on the wreck of the Madeira located just off Split Rock Light House on Lake Superior. This is at approx 60 feet (18.3 meters):

Update: The above link is supposed to point to info about the wreck. DA seems to have some problems encoding the link correctly. It is leaving off the closing ")" if you simply go to "wikipedia dot org" and then paste the following at the end of the address it should take you there:

I used to do a lot of underwater photography. That is how I really got interested in photography in the first place.
In this photo I was diving with a really close friend. Before the dive we worked out a method by which I would give him a specific signal and notify him that I wanted him to take the camera which I had pre-programmed, then point and shoot so I could get some images of me diving.
As a short side note, I used to be a scuba instructor before computers dominated my life... (sigh)... I miss the old days... (grin).
Okay enough rambling... for those who have prodded... here it is... A picture of me... and I don't consider this cheating..... LOL

good to see the man behind the cam even though you are 60ft underwater and only your eyes are visible and its 20 yrs ago - not technically cheating but leaves one feeling cheated
